Jodi recommends: Grand Tetons, Wyoming

Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. Reflection of mountains on Jackson Lake near Yellowstone.

The Grand Tetons offer outdoor living at its finest. With a sky bursting with more stars than you can imagine and an array of incredible hikes and nature walks for any ability level, both your nights and your days will be chock full of beauty. Look out for bison and moose and bears, oh my! If for some reason you tire of the mountains, nearby Jenny Lake is a jaw dropping body of water for kayaking, canoeing and more. This gem of a National Park has something for everyone.

Simon’s pick is: Seattle, Washington

Seattle Skyline at Sunset with Space needle

Thoughts of Seattle’s Clam Chowder still make Simon’s mouth water even though years have passed since his last visit. The food in Seattle is not to be believed. See how it’s done old school style at Pike’s Place Fish Market or check out international cuisine at one of many fine restaurants. Once your belly is full, cruise around to see and hear street performers, journey to the top of the Space Needle for 360 degree views and visit one of the many museums or gardens Seattle has to offer. Wintertime thrills include skiing and snowboarding in the Wasatch mountains, while summer fun brings camping, picnicking and water sports. You can even get a taste of gold rush era Seattle by going on one of the famous underground tours, only to emerge in one of the most vibrant, modern cities in America.

Carlos suggests: New Orleans, Louisiana

According to Carlos, there’s nothing like the Big Easy. Do you love jazz or blues music? You’ve found your place. New Orleans is the spot to hear incredible musicians – not just in the clubs and bars, but playing live on street corners! And the food? Mmmmm mmmmm. From spicy Creole food to warm beignets, gumbo to jambalaya, your taste buds will take a tour through some of the best meals this country has to offer. And you’ll never meet people as warm and friendly as the locals in New Orleans. Whether you go during Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras or just for a weekend getaway, you’ll find the vibe in New Orleans offers fun and entertainment around every corner.

Monica says the place to visit is: Lake Tahoe, California

Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe, a crystal clear, stunningly blue lake that straddles the border of Nevada and California, is a vacation paradise. Monica appreciates that Lake Tahoe is an ideal place for family fun, with activities that cater to all age levels. Find a house on the lake in the summertime and you’ll be rewarded with an array of water sports right out your back door. Swimming, water skiing, paddle boarding and jet skiing are just a few of the lake pastimes, but mountain biking, zip lining and hiking are bonuses for land lovers. And in the colder months, Lake Tahoe turns into a winter wonderland, with 14 ski resorts around the lake for you to choose from. Don’t forget to check out sleigh rides, ice skating and tubing, too. You might just have to come more than once so that you get in all of the activities!

Yessy recommends: Yosemite National Park, California

yosemite falls 2

Yosemite National Park recently celebrated its 100th anniversary and there’s no reason to put off visiting this gem of a vacation spot. Yessy found the park’s 21 waterfalls to be breath-taking and beautiful. With famous views of Half Dome and El Capitan, Yosemite is a photographer’s and rock climber’s paradise that also offers incredible hiking, bicycle paths and wildlife viewings (you’ll have to ask Yessy about her close encounter with a bear!). The facilities in the park are well-organized and convenient and there are lots of accommodations to choose from, everything from camping to luxurious stays at the historic Majestic Yosemite Hotel. You’ll feel like you’re in heaven amongst the stately redwood trees and the snow-fed waters of Yosemite National Park.

Wendi’s favorite vacation spot is: Rocky Mountains, Colorado

Road in Colorado

Come to Colorado any time of the year and you’ll be sure to find activities to put a smile on your face. Some of Wendi’s favorites include stand-up paddle boarding on Class 1 rapids, snowboarding and hiking, but there’s an endless list to choose from. When you adjust to the high-altitude living, you’ll find unparalleled views from Colorado’s many 14,000 + ft. peaks. There are magnificent wildlife sightings and great food, plus natural hot springs to soothe your aching bones after a full day of adventure. Unique concert venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater add to the cultural experience. Bring the family, bring your adrenaline and see how much fun mountain living can be.
